Volcanic ash and closed airspace – Module 3, April 19-23

We are all suddenly experiencing a very unusual and difficult situation. The experts have so far said that they take one day at a time. However, the steering group for the course has decided to run Module 3 as planned.

We expect that the Swedish and Danish participants and most of the Norwegian participants will be able to get to Malmö by train, bus or car. Please try to arrange your travel the best way possible.
There is still a hope that flights will be possible for participants from Finland (and Iceland?) some time during the first part of next week. If you will not be able to get to Malmö, your absence is caused by force majeure and you will of course not be blamed. The steering group will have to arrange some way or other to let you catch up later.

The first two days are about communication and the teachers will arrive by train from Denmark. We hope that David Jeffrey can come on Wednesday as planned, although we do not know. If not, the local teachers will have to take over.

Best regards on behalf of the NSCPM steering group,

Dagny and Tove
